The greenhouse at Morning Glory Farm is part of the adventure on this foodie tour with Farm. Field. Sea.
Farm.
Morning Glory Farm is a premier family-owned Island farm, where dirt under the fingernails and sweat on the brow mean self-sufficiency, sustainability, and unbeatably delicious homegrown food. Owners Jim and Simon Athearn will take us around the farm to learn about the heritage and history of Island farming, and how to select the best of what the soil has to offer throughout the growing season.

Known for their vibrant farm stand, the family grows a wide array of vegetables, small fruits, in addition to eggs, pasture-raised pork, chickens and grass fed beef cows.

On the many adventures we have experienced at the farm we have learned and tasted our way through a plethora of strawberries, got our hands dirty planting cucumbers and pruning the farms famous tomato plants, and got up-close and personal tips from the incredible farm staff on what we can do to grow as tasty veggies and fruits at home.

Cook.
In the kitchen we took a cooking class with Morning Glory Farm’s head chef Robert Lionette. We learned how to create the farmstand’s signature dishes and share with our new friends, a feast created from the day’s bounty.
