Kyleen (Ky) Keenan is on a mission to demystify plant-based cooking and bring organic plant-based food to the mainstream. As the CEO and co-founder of Not Your Sugar Mamas, a nationally distributed organic chocolate company and Frankie’s Market plant-based cafe with a line of artisan plant based cheeses, Kyleen has been advocating for the importance of plant-based foods in healing chronic disease, elevating an individual’s quality of life and influencing climate change through healing the planet for almost a decade. In the past two years, she has been designing recipes for cannabis companies, expanding her knowledge of plant-based healing.
Through her sold-out workshops and international retreats, Kyleen provides a space for chefs, wellness professionals and health coaching clients to learn cooking techniques, expand their knowledge of organic foods, and truly experience the joy of plant-based living. In June 2018, Kyleen published her first cookbook, Chocolate Every Day, which includes over 85 recipes, along with tips and tricks for making irresistible treats based on the delicious and incredibly potent antioxidant powerhouse, raw cacao.
When she’s not in the kitchen, Kyleen is a sought-after speaker with invitations to present at Brown University’s Sustainable Food Initiative, Bentley University’s Fair Trade Project, the MA Women’s Conference, and other sustainable food initiatives. Her work has been featured in the Boston Globe, Washington Post, Vogue, Real Simple, Mind Body Green, The Chalkboard Magazine, Forbes, Spirituality & Health, Well + Good and VegNews. Kyleen won the Rising Star award from Starchefs in 2014, a Clean Eating Award in 2015 and was named Top 30 Under 30 by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2016.
